Sunrise view from the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Sometimes you just have to adjust your expectations and take what mother nature gives you.
My flight arrived in Dubai at 2:30AM so I scheduled my visit to the top of the world’s tallest building for 6AM so that I could see the sunrise from the world’s tallest building. Besides the fact that I would already be awake, this had the added benefit of being significantly less crowded and also a little less expensive.
But mother nature had other ideas.
When I got to the top, the view was completely shrouded in clouds – apparently not an uncommon occurrence at this time of year. Eventually, after about 30 minutes, the clouds cleared for a brief few minutes and everyone quickly ran to the windows to get photos.
By about 8AM, the clouds did all disappear, but the sun was pretty high by then. The views across the gulf and into the desert were far reaching, but quite hazy, though still impressive.
Thanks for visiting.
