Privacy Policy

Who I am

My website address is: https://quiltripping.com.

What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Subscribing to the site

If you are a subscriber, thank you for being a loyal reader.  I hope you continue to enjoy my photos and stories and that the experiences I share inspire your next travel or quilting adventure.  By subscribing, you are providing your e-mail address.  As of now, I do not see or know what your e-mail address is.  I currently do not use any programs to generate an e-mail list. All I look for is the total number of subscribers. If that changes in the future, I will update this policy to that effect.

If you don not wish to be a subscribe, then by all means, please unsubscribe – though I really hope you don’t.

If you are currently not a subscriber, please consider it and use the link in the side bar.  You’ll notice I do not have one of those annoying pop ups that blocks the view as you are trying to read the page, asking you to subscribe. I personally find them very annoying so will not subject you to that experience. I would rather you spend those extra seconds reading my story or maybe even clicking on another part of my site.

Please continue to enjoy my site and recommend me to your friends, neighbors, relatives (the ones you like), coworkers, your favorite baristas, your local bartenders, your babysitters, your pen pals and basically, everyone that you know will benefit from the inspiring prose and photography that I share.

Comments

I currently do not have comments turned on so no personal data is collected through this means.  I would love to hear from you so please send me an e-mail (link is in the side bar) or connect with me on my facebook page.  Or not – it’s totally up to you.

Cookies

No-sadly not the chocolate chip kind.  As with all websites, this site uses cookies.  Or rather, Wordpress and the Wordpress plugins use cookies.  I don’t know what they are and I personally do not see any of your personal data from them. If you choose to read and browse this site then you are ok with the cookies it uses. Though I really prefer the triple chocolate chip with pecans kind – or maybe peanut butter. What about you?

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. links, videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

It is after all a world wide web and all information is connected whether we like it or not.

Analytics

Yes – I use Google Analytics.  I have to.  Destinations want to know how many page views I have per day, how many total users, what the demographics are, etc., etc., etc.  I also need that information to join trade associations because, sadly, these days it’s all about the numbers.

Who I share your data with

Since I personally do not see any of your personal data, I cannot share it with any one.  The only sharing I do is the Google Analytics information.  This does not mean that I am not a kind or sharing person in general, because I think that I am.

How long I retain your data

No clue since I don’t see your personal data.  But I do hope that you stay a subscriber for life – or at least for as long as I continue to share my experiences with you.

What rights you have over your data

You can always choose to unsubscribe.  Though I really hope you don’t since I obviously think that my content is worthwhile and I hope you do too.

Where I send your data

I personally don’t send it anywhere since I personally do not see it. Google may have other ideas. As I mentioned, I will share the Google Analytics data pertaining to my site with those that insist they need it.

Additional information

If anything changes from what I have stated above, I will update this Privacy Policy. Or I will have to update it the next time some governmental agency makes blanket regulations that impact the whole world as we know it.

I just want to share my photos, stories and quilts because I love to travel and want to inspire others to do the same. Hope you enjoy them also.

As always, thanks for visiting

Rose
