Born on March 14, 1879, there is no more recognizable scientist in all of history than the face of Albert Einstein. Besides being a great thinker and Nobel Laureate, he was also civically active. He was an active supporter of civil rights and assisted with Zionist causes like helping to establish the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was also a lover of music and an accomplished violin player. But despite his many achievements, he is primarily remembered for his formula that shows the equivalence between matter and energy.
