I am thrilled to announce my new Etsy shop for original Quiltripping downloadable quilt patterns. The philosophy for my shop is to provide fun, colorful and unique quilt patterns that are easy to make for a beginning quilter or for someone looking to make a quick, beautiful design.
For my inaugural offering I have made available the pattern for one of my most popular quilts, my “Bohemian Princess Quilt” which was inspired by a trip to the fairy tale castles of Mad King Ludwig in Bavaria, Germany.
This pattern makes use of precut 5″ charm packs in a range of colors. In my design I used three different Tula Pink charm packs and a coordinating stiped fabric for the border. However any scrappy combination of fabrics would work. The design uses half square triangles and the key is to have contrast between adjacent fabrics.
The pattern provides complete instructions for three different sized quilts: crib, lap and twin sizes.
I originally photographed my quilt on a trip to Germany, and then more recently also photographed it locally.
